Who is Robyn Sarah?

A renowned voice in Canadian poetry, Robyn Sarah is the author of ten poetry collections, two short story collections, and a book of essays on poetry. She wins her first Governor General’s Literary Award for her collection My Shoes Are Killing Me (2015). Other collections include Pause for Breath, A Day’s Grace and Questions About the Stars. Her poems have appeared in numerous anthologies including Fifteen Canadian Poets x 2 and x 3, and The Best Canadian Poetry 2009 and 2010, and The Norton Anthology of Poetry (5th edition). Robyn Sarah was born in New York City to Canadian parents, and grew up in Montréal, where she still lives.
